Tonnerre, un jeune chat, a été abandonné par sa famille. Seul et perdu, il trouve refuge dans un mystérieux manoir appartenant à Lorenz, un magicien retraité. Mais lorsque son hôte est envoyé à l'hôpital, son neveu tente de vendre la maison sans que son oncle ne s'en aperçoive.
Abandonné, un chat est recueilli par Lorenz, qui le baptise Tonnerre. Mais un jour, le magicien tombe malade, et son neveu essaie par tous les moyens de vendre son manoir peuplée de personnages étranges. Afin de dégoûter les potentiels acheteurs, Tonnerre transforme la demeure en maison hantée...
